Hurricane Florence Recovery MILCON Package 7

Jacksonville, North Carolina

Advanced Construction Testing (ACT) provided third-party building enclosure consulting and air barrier testing services for the MILCON Package 7 project at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The project included four buildings totaling approximately 548,500 SF: the CH-53K Maintenance Hangar (297,000 SF), CNATT Classroom Building (120,000 SF), Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) (75,500 SF), and C-12W Maintenance Hangar (56,000 SF).

ACT’s services included construction-phase peer review, submittal and shop drawing review, on-site mock-up observations, and whole-building air barrier testing per ASTM standards with infrared thermography. Detailed field reports and diagnostics supported The Walsh Group in achieving high-performance, code-compliant building envelopes across all four facilities.
