Advanced Construction Testing (ACT)  was engaged to provide third-party Electronic Leak Detection (ELD) testing in support of AVM’s 20-year NDL warranty program for a renovation at the Oregon Convention Center (approximately 10,000 SF of testing area).

ACT proposed performing ELD testing in accordance with ASTM D7877, documenting field observations (notes, sketches, and photos), and delivering an electronic report summarizing results and identified deficiencies.

To improve leak detectability, ACT recommended an ASTM D5957 flood test 24 hours to no more than 7 days prior to ELD; however, the client declined, so results were expected to be limited to breaches detectable under the ASTM D7877 protocol (including limitations for leaks requiring hydrostatic head).
