Richards Boulevard Office Complex

Sacramento, California

Advanced Construction Testing (ACT) provided third-party building enclosure testing support for the Richards Boulevard Office Complex, a multi-building office development in Sacramento’s River District.

ACT’s scope included whole-building air leakage testing of the air barrier system in accordance with ASTM E779, supported by infrared thermography (ASTM C1060) to help identify and verify leakage pathways.

In addition, ACT performed air barrier mockup preconstruction testing—including air leakage location testing (ASTM E1186), air leakage volume testing (ASTM E783 or ASTM E2357), and adhesion testing (ASTM D4541)—to validate assembly performance prior to full installation.

ACT also completed AAMA 501.2 water spray testing at expansion joint locations (including podium and bridge areas), with findings documented to support closeout and follow-up actions.
