Advanced Construction Testing (ACT) provided third-party window testing services for the renovation and expansion of the historic United University Church building at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. Built in 1931, the 40,000-square-foot structure was repurposed for the School of Dramatic Arts, including restoration of its historic steel windows and the addition of a new modern extension.

ACT conducted comprehensive mockup and field testing of both the restored steel windows and new aluminum windows in accordance with AAMA 502, ASTM E1105 (water penetration), and ASTM E783 (air infiltration) standards. Testing covered multiple installation conditions and elevations, with observations documented through detailed reports, sketches, and photographs. Recommendations provided to the owner, restoration company, and construction team helped ensure window performance, durability, and compliance with project specifications.
